DANGR FILMS was founded by writer and director Alina Yklymova.
After developing and directing her first feature film, Matröshki, she became increasingly interested in the decisions that shape a film long before the camera starts rolling: which stories get told, who gets to tell them and under what conditions they are made.
DANGR FILMS is her way of taking part in those decisions from the very beginning. The label initiates and develops independent film projects, bringing together artistic ideas and the people needed to realise them.
